Good bird health begins with good nutrition

Birds have sensitive systems. You might be surprised how the seeds, pellets and
treats sold at pet stores are actually the opposite of what your bird needs to thrive.
In fact, those processed foods can be the very cause of known bird problems, such
as feather-picking, toe-tapping, obesity and behavioral issues.

The birds at Wings of Love Bird Haven receive a balanced, primarily organic diet
made up of veggies, fruits, legumes, grains and fresh sprouts. We have assembled
lots of information for you that explains the nutritional thought behind our diet and
the recipes so you can do it too.

Of course, we realize that you have fewer birds than we do, and you may not have
the time to prepare fresh meals daily for your companion pet. That's okay. Read the
information and incorporate it to suit your lifestyle. You can prepare smaller batches
or create a big batch and freeze it into smaller portions that you can defrost as
needed.
