checho/
Lory
Checho, a a black-capped Lory is a real cutie. She is almost 5 years old with a hatchdate of April 2007. She talks and mimics several different sounds such as sneezing, coughing, and others. She loves to come out of her cage and hang out, however sometimes she is a bit naughty when you try to put her back. She loves to "shoulder surf" any time she has the opportunity. Checho has a different diet than the others here at the Haven. Her main diet is a nextar that is mixed with water. To this we add veggies and tons of fruit. Lories need to be fed 2-3 times a day in order to keep their energy level at its peek.

LUNA/
Double Yellow-Headed Amazon
Luna, a double yellow-headed Amazon, is a sweet little bird! We don't know much about him (or her) because she came from a confiscation situation. She does know her name and doesn't appear to have any behavioral issues. She seems to be in good health, and she loves her Haven diet of fresh veggies, fruits, sprouts, nuts and legumes. Wouldn't you like to give Luna her forever home?

JUJU/
Yellow-naped Amazon
Ju Ju is a yellow-naped Amazon who loves to sing along with opera! He can also say "Night-night," "hello," "Hi Bird Boy," "What cha doin?" "Now," and "Bye, bye." We don't know whether Ju Ju is male or female, but we do know he is approximately 18 years old and came to his previous owner when he was 8 months old. He's been a little skiddish since he came to the Haven. He steps up fine, but is known to be a bit unpredictable, occasionally biting out of the blue. JuJu is slowly learning to adjust to a healthy diet here at the Haven. He enjoys a good mist bath and goes to bed around 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. He would love a new forever home. Would Ju Ju fit with your lifestyle?

CLEO/
Umbrella Cockatoo

Cleo is a female Umbrella Cockatoo that is approximately 25 years old. She loves to eat and is very sweet. She is also quiet most of the time- unlike most cockatoo. She loves getting scritches on her neck... love lots of attention. Cleo loves to play with newspaper and will hide under them for hours in the bottom of her cage. She is almost totally bare on her wings and totally bare on her tummy... most likely
will never feather out again.
She must stay with her friend Sinbad- but they will live in separate cages.

SINBAD/
Umbrella Cockatoo

My name is Sinbad. I’m a really smart bird and love to escape out of my cage. You have to keep locks on the doors at all times... even the feed doors. I know “tap” and will tap for you when you ask me to. I also know how to raise my wings up when you ask me to. I love to play Tickle toes with my momma. I love to eat. My old diet wasn’t too healthy. I ate a seed diet with lots of human junk food. My new adoptive mom or dad will have to change my diet. I am a
wild-caught bird. I am deathly afraid of gloves because I was caught with them as a baby. I will bite sometimes, but not alot. I have a large “understanding” vocabulary... but not sure at all what I actually know how to say.

I must stay with my friend Cleo
... but we live
in separate cages. I do hope that someone
falls in love with us, all we want is to be loved.

IRVING/
Double Yellow Headed Amazon

Irving is an older (don’t know male or female) Double Yellow Headed Amazon--- at least 40 years old. He isn’t a biter but is very afraid of hands. He seems to really crave attention, so I believe with time he would become extremely easy to handle. He is in full feather and has beautiful coloring. We are not sure if he has any vocabulary or not. This remains to be seen. Irving just needs someone that has plenty of time to love him.

Oliver/
Male Eclectus

Oliver hasn’t been receptive to being held yet, so we are just taking our time. He has been in the same cage with Angel for who knows how long but they don’t seem to be “mates” so we will adopt them out separately.  Oliver hasn’t been aggressive so I think he will be fairly good about being able to be handled eventually.

Sponsor Oliver for 35.00 per month
ALLY/
Female Eclectus

Ally has been aggressive from the beginning. She will need quite a bit of work to become easy to handle; I don’t doubt however that it can be done. Many of Ally’s feathers are growing back in just in the 4 weeks since she’s come here. A good diet and lots of love will do wonders for this little gal.

ABBY/
Female Eclectus

Abby like Ally and Spice is quite aggressive. She had a severely overgrown beak and we are working to try to trim it a little at a time just like Spices. All three of these girls have shown a lot of aggression and will need someone very patient to help them work through these issues. They were most likely all three breeder birds at one time.

BOBBIE JO /
Blue Fronted Amazon

Bobbie Joe is a Blue-Fronted Amazon—she is very sweet to women however doesn’t seem
to like men very much. She is fully feathered
and very smart. She talks all the time… even sings. She gets very excited when you pay her attention…just thrives on it. She is very eager
to become someone’s very best friend.

Clyde/
African Grey
Clyde is a Congo African Grey . He is not aggressive at all but has been a bit reserved from stepping up. He will let me pet him both inside and outside of the cage without a problem. He does talk but is more "skilled" at great sound effects such as the cell phone ringing, microwave chiming and even an ambulance sound. His feathers were quite tattered when he first arrived but they are looking much better now. He tends to “overpreen” due to a nervous behavior.

Sponsor Clyde for 50.00 per month
Jazzy/
Senegal

Jazzy is such a cutie and absolutely FULL of energy. He  is always found hanging upside down or climbing from one end of his cage to the other. He is young, but not exactly sure how old. We were told approximately 3-4 years old.

Sponsor Jasmine & Jazzy for 25.00 per month

Rascal/
Goffin Cockatoo
Rascal is a male Goffin Cockatoo. Unknown age. A little stinker. He doesn’t like to be handled at all... will definitely try  to bit if you get too close, but mostly just runs from you and tries to keep his distance. Rascal is fully feathered
